Management and Production Engineering

Management and production engineering is one of the two engineering programmes offered by the Poznań University of Economics and Business. Its curriculum presents an educational offer that meets the changing needs of the market, and its interdisciplinary nature enables students to acquire both engineering competences and managerial skills.

 

The engineering competences acquired during the studies enable graduates, among other things, to design and effectively manage production processes, create modern solutions, and carry out research and development work in manufacturing companies. As the curriculum also includes courses in management and finance, it prepares students for running their own businesses.

 

The practical nature of the Management and production engineering programme is ensured thanks to small-group and laboratory classes. Students learn how to plan and conduct research, interpret its results, and innovate products and processes. As part of the curriculum, they use the principles of corporate organization and management, and of conducting marketing research to carry out their research projects.

 

Additionally, during their studies, students choose programme and technical subjects tailored to their interests. In the last semester of studies, they test and enhance their knowledge and skills during internships. The curriculum also includes foreign-language courses featuring specialized terminology used in international communication.
