The main educational goals of the Management programme: 

  • impart in-depth knowledge to students and help them learn the skills of managing the organization as a whole and various areas of its activity,
  • familiarize students with directions in the development of management concepts, emphasize the role of a leader and of the team approach in developing modern corporate management concepts,
  • increase knowledge and skills of assessing the company’s economic standing, of modern techniques of value creation, and of methods of company valuation,
  • identify the external and internal foundations of strategic choices in the company, present a practical approach to option formulation and strategic-option selection,
  • familiarize students with the significance of marketing strategy in the company’s development,
  • present basic mechanisms operating in real estate management and particular scopes of this management,
  • increase students’ knowledge of new public management, show them the role of public and non-public entities in shaping development.

 

Education as part of the Management programme involves improving key skills and managerial competences needed in the management process and in building the organization’s value. Given future graduates’ professional activity, the education process focuses on developing their

  • strategic thinking,
  • lifelong learning,
  • open approach to sharing knowledge and creating conditions for this.

 

The programme offers five specializations: real estate valuation, investment and real estate management, project management, corporate management, and human resources management.

 

Second-cycle Management graduates will be prepared to work as

  • specialists as part of a management system (in particular, an analyst and designer of organization and management systems),
  • middle and senior managers,
  • advisers and consultants in economic or public organizations, 
  • or to run their own business.

 

Graduates will have theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of management and quality sciences, and related sciences, about the essence, mechanisms and problems of the organization’s operation, as well as methods of effective and efficient ways of solving these problems. They will possess the following skills: critical analysis, interpretation and evaluation of phenomena and management processes on various scales, assessment of the environmental impact on these phenomena (processes), as well as preparing and making management decisions, especially strategic ones. Graduates will be able to organize teamwork, lead teams, effectively communicate, negotiate and persuade, identify their own professional goals, plan their career path, and operate in the national and international labour market.

 

Management graduates are prepared to meet research challenges, take up studies at the Doctoral School, and improve their skills and competences by participating in postgraduate studies and training courses.
